Home Sweet Home

We finally were able to bring Blake home on Monday August 25th. The last 24 hours of his hospital stay he was "tanning in the Bahamas", at least that's what we liked to call it. Blake was a little jaundice, but luckily it went away pretty quickly.

Blake adjusted well to his new home. He slept like a champ and was very content. He is such a sweet baby. Everyone who has a boy warned us that he would inevitably pee all over the changing table the first time his diaper is changed at home and well he did just that! Without fail, during the first diaper change little Blake peed all over himself, all over the wall, the window, the changing table, Grandma and myself. We laughed so hard, it was amazing how such a little guy could pee so much!

Grandma Baptista stayed with us for the first 2 weeks to help us get adjusted. I don't know how we would have done it without her. She did everything for us so all we had to think about was caring for Blake. I have always appreciated my mom, but having a baby has brought my appreciation to a whole new level. We hope she will come back and visit very soon...
